AV Installation Consultancy and Specialist Advice

Learning Environments staff provide technical advice on the design and application of a wide range of audiovisual technology and solutions. The service specialises in complete systems and solutions rather than individual low-value items. Clients will be referred to vendors for specific product advice where appropriate. Advice is given from a whole-of-QUT viewpoint, not the job-by-job approach typically taken by outside consultants. Staff will recommend equipment common to other QUT facilities wherever possible to improve overall efficiency of support.

The service is available to all QUT cost centres

The service is available between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

There is usually no charge for advice. Major projects time is charged at $75 an hour.

Recommendations are based on experience and product knowledge, but it is impossible to be familiar with every brand and model on the market. Time for product research is limited by available staff time.
